In April 2024, Google released the first Developer Preview of Android 15 for its Pixel phones. Up to I/O 2024, the new operating system was exclusive to Pixel smartphones. Sometime in August 2024, Samsung will launch the One UI 7 beta programme for Galaxy devices, which is based on Android 15.
The most recent Galaxy skin, One UI 6.1, is built on Android 14. Later this year, a lot of Samsung smartphones will get the One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. Even though 2024 is only getting started, we already know that Galaxy smartphones can run Android 15.
Late in March, Google unveiled Android 15 DP2, and in April 2024, the public beta was also launched. Samsung is not need to follow Android manufacturers like Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus, who have started Public Beta for their flagships after the I/O 2024 event.
In August of this year, the Galaxy S24 series will undoubtedly be the first to receive the One UI 7 Beta. Then, the massive South Korean tech company will increase the scope of its beta testing for a few older ranges, such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
