In Monday’s season-ending league match, Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ittihad 4-2 behind two braces from Ronaldo. With his two goals in the match, the 39-year-old broke the record for most goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season. With his 35th goal, he surpassed the 34-goal record held by Moroccan forward Abderrazak Hamdallah during the 2018–19 season.

During the 2023–24 Al-Nassr season, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player also increased his own goal total to 50 in as many games. For the first time in its history, the squad also broke the league record with 100 goals.The player will be next seen in action on Friday as Al-Nassr face unbeaten Saudi Arabian champions Al-Hilal in the final of the King Cup.
